This family-style restaurant is largely appreciated for its hearty bowls of comforting pho, packed with rich, fresh flavours. From the top right, you have the rice area (\u98ef\u985e), Chef&#8217;s recommendation area (\u4e3b\u53a8\u63a8\u85a6), soup area (\u6e6f\u985e), and finally, the assorted hot dish area (\u71b1\u76e4\u985e).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>I like the way the menu is set out at Vietnamese Cing Hua Pho<\/strong>. I think it&#8217;s easy to follow and there&#8217;s just enough on there to have a great selection for anybody wanting to get some good pho, rice noodz, or general rice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Chicken and tomato Pho<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u8d8a\u5357\u756a\u8304\u96de\u8089 yu\u00e8 n\u00e1n f\u0101n qi\u00e9 j\u012b r\u00f2u<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/1_44126.jpg?ssl=1\" alt=\"Vietnamese Cing Hua Pho\" class=\"wp-image-12489\" style=\"width:250px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">I would say it would be a tragedy to come to Vietnamese Cing Hua Pho for the first time and not get this pho dish. In actual fact, that probably goes for all Vietnamese restaurants in Taipei. Pho tends to be the staple of a Vietnamese restaurant and is invariably just ultimate delicious healthiness in a bowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">First, you&#8217;re going to get slapped in the face with tomato flavour, then carrot, then a deep richness from a long, <strong>slow-cooked broth<\/strong>. The <strong>noodles <\/strong>are really well cooked with a good bite to them, and the <strong>chicken <\/strong>is a great vessel for flavour, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/44125.jpg?ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12492\" style=\"width:250px\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The noodles are tasty and retain a little bite. But I tend to find that the bite of noodles in Vietnamese cuisines is slightly less desirable than in other cuisines. They suck up some of that rich tomato flavour, and there&#8217;s certainly plenty of them in the bowl. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Vietnamese rice noodle bowl (pork)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u8d8a\u5357\u4e7e\u62cc\u9eb5\u7dda(\u8c6c) yu\u00e8 n\u00e1n g\u0101n b\u00e0n mi\u00e0n xi\u00e0n (zh\u016b)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/44124.jpg?ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12491\" style=\"width:250px\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The pork looks <strong>dryyyyy<\/strong>, right? <strong>It wasn&#8217;t.<\/strong> I was immediately disappointed when it was put in front of me, but it was remarkably juicy, considering the presentation. I loved seeing the peanuts tucked away in the corner, and I was impressed with the amount of vegetables that were incorporated into the dish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Do you know what&#8217;s even better? Dunking it in that spicy <strong>chilli oil<\/strong> they have right there on the table &#8211; winner!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/44123.jpg?ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12493\" style=\"width:250px\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">I am not a huge fan of noodles, but I did quite enjoy these. I&#8217;m also not a fan of soup, so this satisfied my Vietnamese craving with the flavours, excluding that hot soup that just splashes all over the place as your noodles constantly slip out of your chopsticks &#8211; you know who you are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">If you are a big fan of South Asian style food, check <a \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">That familiar tomato flavour from the chicken pho exists in this beef one, too. The beef is thick, tasty, and juicy. It&#8217;s a hearty bowl of delicious tomato and beef pho flavour. Dipping some of that beef into the sour and spicy chilli sauce is a winner, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Is it worth it?<\/strong> It&#8217;s easily worth it. The broth is deep, rich, yet remarkably light. The meat is juicy, and everything tastes fresh. Ideal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is the best dish? <\/strong>The beef and tomato pho is delicious. But I think I like the dry noodles the most. It probably comes down to whether you prefer dry or soup-based meals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Are there other places like this?<\/strong> There are plenty other Vietnamese restaurants around Taipei. But I think Vietnamese Cing Hua Pho is the best in this area by quite a way. Fresh ingredients, rich flavours, freshness, and cost.
